STUDENTS WORKING IN GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Students who have been working in a governmental accounting or finance position for at least six months in Washington State and pursuing higher education are eligible for a tuition reimbursement scholarship of up to $2,500.  This scholarship will be granted on a first come first served basis.
To be eligible for the scholarship students must be:
  • Attending an accredited community college, 4-year college or university
  • Working in a governmental accounting or finance position in Washington State for at least six months.
  • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting, economics, public administration, or finance and have an overall GPA of at least 3.0.
  • The student’s employer must be willing to receive funds from WFOA on behalf of the student.
  • Applicants must submit an essay identifying how they would benefit by receiving the scholarship and how it would help support their overall career goals.
